Search for expired patents

This search is intended to capture patents that are no longer on the register due to expiry of the patent. However, patents that have expired but have an associated certificate of supplementary protection (CSP) on the register will continue to appear on the register and will not be captured in this search.

There must be at least one date parameter entered. Data available dates back to 2002.

Examples:

1. To search expired patents that are no longer on the register, leave the "From" field empty and enter today's date in the "To" field.
2. To search the expiration dates of currently listed patents, enter today's date in the "From" field and leave the "To" field empty.
3. To search patents based on an expiration date range, there must be date values entered in both the "From" and "To" field, e.g. for patents that expired in 2008, enter 2008-01-01 in the "From" field and 2008-12-31 in the "To" field. For patents that are expiring in January 2015, enter 2015-01-01 in the "From" field and 2015-01-31 in the "To" field.
